PhotoIdea an online poster editor with yours pictures.
Is a Flex based application (with a PHP backend), that allows users to create fancy photo albums and photo collages with their pictures (user pictures can either be provided from the same site hosting the application or imported from other social networking websites such as badoo, flickr etc..).
The application supports multiple albums types and template, each template is an XML file (we are creating a visual template editor) that specifies:
- background images
- picture default placeholders (supporting rotations, transparencies, moving/resize policies etc..)
- labels placeholders
- mask images
Users can choose a template from the application and they get their pictures automatically placed in the dashboard according to the applied template… They can then add/change images, rotate them, move them, edit labels, etc..
Then the user can finally trigger the image generation process: the flex application sends all the dashboard configuration to the PHP backend. The backend PHP scripts using GD and ImageMagick libraries generate the real picture that is then available for billing/purchasing/ordering by the final user. Depending on the preferred business model we support logo watermarks to be drawn on top of the pictures, preview generation, different/customizable foto formats qualities and sizes.
